WASHINGTON, June 25, 2014 - Correction: In the June 25, 2014 edition of Agri-Pulse, we quoted the Center for Responsive Politics data which indicated that the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Political Action Committee (PAC) donated $7,500 to Sen. Thad Cochran’s campaign. The American Farm Bureau Federation does not have a PAC. Instead, those contributions came from Texas Farm Bureau ($2,500) and Alabama Farmers Federation ($5,000), which are affiliated with AFBF.
In addition, we noted that “Sen. Cochran has exercised outsized influence in agricultural policy over more than 50 years in Congress” That line should have read “more than 40 years.”
