WASHINGTON, April 1, 2015-- Mike Dunlap, previously a senior staff member at the House Agriculture Committee, joined the government affairs team of The Keys Group on March 30, announced Chandler Keys, principal of the agri-business lobbying firm based in Washington, D.C.

Dunlap, who has more than a decade of federal experience in both domestic and international policy, worked with six chairmen and ranking members at the House Agriculture Committee and several subcommittees, leading the staff on two Farm Bills, World Trade Organization disputes, and the ongoing trade negotiations in the Pacific and Europe. 

Additionally, Mike serves as a Public Affairs Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves with responsibilities for print and digital media production.

“Mike’s experience in Congress and with the many agencies which oversee agriculture in the U.S. will be a great asset to our clients” Keys said. “We are pleased to have his knowledge and innovative talent alongside as we work to solve the many challenges faced by our clients and agriculture as a whole.”

Dunlap earned his Master of Arts in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia, a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Poultry Science with a minor in International Trade and Development and a second Bachelor of Science in Dairy Science both from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.
