Washington, Nov. 22 – Today is the deadline for the public to submit comments to USDA's Grain Inspection Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) on its controversial proposed rule governing livestock and poultry marketing practices. More than 28,000 individual comments, many of them form letters, have been filed so far.

To submit your GIPSA rule comments which must be received today, Nov. 22, e-mail them to comments.gipsa@usda.gov or you can hand deliver them or send by courier to Tess Butler, GIPSA, USDA, 1400 Independence Avenue, SW, Room 1643-S, Washington, DC 20250-3604. You also can send by fax to (202) 690-2173 or submit on the Federal eRulemaking Portal at http://www.regulations.gov
