National Ag Day is set for March 19 and the Agriculture
Council of America has announced National Ag day activities in Washington, DC.
On March 18, there will be panel discussion and reception
sponsored by Agri-Pulse. More details will come when the panelists and venues
are finalized.
On March 19, there will be a luncheon for industry
representatives as well as congressmen and staffers (venue to be
determined). That evening will be the
Celebration of Agriculture dinner at the USDA where the Secretary of Agriculture
will be an invited guest. In addition,
winners of the Ag Day essay contest, Video Contest and Poster Contest will be
celebrated at that dinner.
In addition, the Ag Council brings in 100 FFA, AFA, 4-H and
Student NAMA students that will participate in message training and the make
Hill visits on the morning of March 19.
More details will be announced as they become available, but
for now, plan to be in DC on March 18-19. www.agday.org
