WASHINGTON, Jan. 15, 2015-USDA announced its regulatory approval of Monsanto's genetically engineered crops resistant to the dicamba herbicide.
USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) released its determination of nonregulated status for the company's cotton resistant to dicamba and glufosinate, as well as its dicamba-tolerant soybean.
The company first submitted its petitions to USDA for the products in 2012, according to APHIS documents.
The Environmental Protection Agency must still complete its concurrent review of the related herbicides.
