The Russell Group names new director of government affairs, chief of staff

WASHINGTON, Nov. 12, 2014 – The Russell Group announced two new staff additions enhancing its government affairs service capabilities – director of government affairs and chief of staff/office manager. 

Danielle Beck join the firm Dec. 1 as director of government affairs. Most recently, she served as senior legislative assistant for Rep. Tom Rooney (R-Florida).    

Allyson Alvaré will be join the firm on Nov. 17 as the firm’s chief of staff/office manager.  Alvaré has served as scheduling director for Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Maryland) since 2010.  

“We are very excited to welcome Danielle and Allyson to our team. Both join The Russell Group with a deep understanding of Capitol Hill and its legislative process,” said Randy Russell, president of The Russell Group.

“Working for a Member who served on both the Agriculture Committee and Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee has given Danielle exposure to a diverse set of issues critical to the industries that grow and manufacture the nation’s food, fiber, and energy,” Russell said. “Allyson’s experience working for Members of both parties, most recently coordinating both district and D.C. schedules for a rising Congressional leader is the ideal skill set for managing The Russell Group.”
