Washington, Jan. 6 – In a letter to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, the Organic Trade Association (OTA) says it “applauds the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s recent actions to consider the broad economic consequence of unrestricted deregulation of Round-up Ready (RR) Alfalfa, including the impact to organic agriculture and products in the United States.”

The OTA letter calls for “discussion among all agricultural stakeholders to develop a framework for co-existence.”
