ARPA energy innovation summit advances leading edge technologies

WASHINGTON, Dec. 16, 2015 - The Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy’s (ARPA-E) Energy Innovation Summit will be held from Feb. 29 – March 2 at National Harbor in Maryland, just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. The annual summit draws more than 2,000 participants from the United States and 20 countries to discuss energy issues and cultivate relationships with industry leaders, government and academia to advance technologies and move them towards deployment.

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy and the President of the World Bank Group Jim Yong Kim will serve as keynote speakers. Other speakers at the summit will include Xerox Chief Technology Officer Sophie Vandebroek, BASF Corporation Chairman and CEO Wayne T. Smith and General Electric Vice Chair Beth Comstock.

The summit’s Technology Showcase features more than 250 innovative technologies from across all energy sectors, including prototypes and commercial-ready products, many on public display for the first time. The showcase brings ARPA-E awardees and other top technologists together with investors and corporate decision makers who are looking to move technologies forward.
