JBS acquires European plant-based food company

Brazilian meatpacker JBS has purchased Vivera, the third largest plant-based food company in Europe, in a deal worth about 341 million euros ($410 million).

The group held their annual fly-in last week and lobbied congressional leaders to complete a new farm bill and pass ag labor reform legislation, among other issues.
