After the Legislature blocked a paraquat ban, Newsom signs a bill to once again study the herbicide

AB 1963 requires the Department of Pesticide Regulation to reevaluate paraquat by 2029. Newsom said it falls in line with his plan to eliminate the use of certain pesticides by 2050.
