Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) has hired Jeff Rowe to be executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective August 17. The United Soybean Board named Courtney Knupp chief executive officer, effective Oct. 1. Mac Marshall has rejoined Bayer, now as its vice president of global policy and trade. CEO of the National Association of Conservation Districts Jeremy Peters is resigning, effective September 30. The National Corn Growers Association held its elections for the Corn Board checkoff at its biannual Corn Congress last week.

Tuesday was John Newton's last day as the chief economist for the Senate Agriculture Committee under ranking member John Boozman of Arkansas. Bob Petersen will retire from Petersen Consulting, the firm he founded in 2004. Erica Venancio, the firm’s senior executive, will assume leadership of the firm.
