Just a few months ago, Californians were struggling with the driest three years on record, fighting explosive wildfires and living under water restrictions. Fast forward to 2023 and a deluge of moisture has arrived, covering mountains with record snowpack, filling reservoirs, breaking levees and flooding farms and communities. What lessons have we learned that can better help California agriculture prepare for the future? How do we navigate these weather extremes while also dealing with labor and regulatory challenges? These were some of the topics discussed during the 2023 Agri-Pulse Food & Ag Issues Summit, where this year's theme was "Navigating Uncharted Waters." The event took place on June 5, 2023 at The Sheraton Grand Sacramento.
