WASHINGTON, April 25, 2012 – Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., announced tonight that the Committee will begin marking up the 2012 Farm Bill on Thursday, April 26 at 10:30 a.m. in the Committee’s hearing room, 328-A of the Russell Senate Office Building.
The Chairwoman postponed the markup that was originally scheduled to begin Wednesday morning. A summary of the Committee Print of the Senate Agriculture Committee’s 2012 Farm Bill is available here.
A list of amendments eligible for consideration during the markup is available here.
The Committee Print will be modified and amended throughout this week’s meeting, beginning with a manager’s package of consensus amendments offered by Chairwoman Stabenow and Ranking Member Roberts, R-Kans., at the mark-up’s outset, according to the Committee’s update.
