MOORHEAD, Minn., March 17, 2014 – House Agriculture Committee ranking member Collin Peterson, D-Minn., announced this morning that he will run for reelection in the state’s 7th Congressional District.

Saying “there’s plenty of work to do,” Peterson announced his reelection plans in an interview withKFGO radio, before a news conference at the Moorhead Center Mall.

Peterson was first elected in 1990. If reelected, this will be his 13th term in office.

Minnesota State Senator Torrey Westrom, Elbow Lake, Minn., is running for the seat as a Republican.
