WASHINGTON, September 13, 2017 - The House Labor-HHS Appropriations Subcommittee formally passed its appropriations bill with $3.39 billion included for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The bill now moves to the full committee; the Senate has not yet released it.s appropriations bill for FY18. Meanwhile, both House and Senate approved a three-month Continuing Resolution (CR) funding the government at FY 17 levels, including LIHEAP, through Dec 8. President Trump is expected to sign the bill.
