This annual convening brings together policymakers, advocates, food industry professionals, philanthropic organizations and financial institutions from across the country in a forum to exchange ideas, information and best practices around healthy food access. Started as a gathering of federal Healthy Food Financing Initiative (HFFI) grantees, the event has grown to expand and support not only HFFI, but a range of policies and programs that work to increase access to healthy food across the country. The 2019 convening will focus on a variety of important issues related to increasing access to and demand for healthy food, including federal policies such as SNAP, Food Insecurity Nutrition Incentive (FINI) and HFFI, along with innovative community-based solutions, recent research and impacts of food access efforts. During the second day of the convening, attendees have the opportunity to educate policymakers about exciting healthy food access strategies taking place in their states and districts.
