In his State of the State address Tuesday night, Gov. Newsom admitted the state’s progress in recovering from the pandemic “hasn’t always felt fast enough.”
Assembly Bill 685 would require ag employers to notify all employees of a COVID-19 infection, along with state agencies and labor unions, within 24 hours of an outbreak.
Gov. Newsom has ordered a wave of new closures in several sectors, including dine-in restaurants and indoor tasting rooms at wineries, to stem the coronavirus spread.
