Colorado Democrat Michael Bennet introduced new farm workforce legislation this week, giving him and the bill’s other supporters one week to build the support the bill will need in the current session of Congress. Bennet, a member of the Senate Ag Committee, also discusses his priorities for the upcoming farm bill and the state of drought in the American west.

Then, a panel of experts including Claudia Larson with the National Milk Producers Federation, Michael Marsh with the National Council of Agricultural Employers and Mary Nowak with the National Council of Farmer Cooperatives discuss Bennet’s new legislation and the reception it is getting on Capitol Hill and among the nation’s farm groups.
