Chris Adamo is now the head of global sustainability impact and B Corp at Danone. He previously was the vice president of public affairs and regenerative agriculture policy. He has been with the company since 2018. B Corp Certification is a designation that companies have met certain performance standards on social and environmental issues.

Chris Adamo.jpegChris Adamo, DanoneJoe Kramek has been appointed president and CEO of the World Shipping Council. He succeeds John Butler, who is retiring at the end of July. Kramek will officially take over Aug. 1. He previously was WSC’s director of U.S. government relations. He was a commissioned officer with the U.S. Coast Guard, where he spent time at sea and as the chief of maritime, international, and environmental law. Butler was president and CEO of the WSC since 2015.


CNH Industrial has appointed Gerrit Marx as CEO effective July 1. He will succeed Scott Wine, who asked to leave after three years to pursue other interests. Marx was Iveco Group's CEO.

Katherine White has been tapped as chief textiles and apparel negotiator in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. She previously served as international trade policy adviser on the House Committee on Ways and Means for Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore.

David Rosenkrance has been selected as assistant director for the energy, minerals and realty management program at the Bureau of Land Management effective in late May. Rosenkrance is currently a senior adviser for USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.

Shaun Ricks has been added to the sales team of Fresh Farms. The grape industry veteran brings over 30 years of experience to the role. He previously was the president of Power Plant Produce.

Amie Leopold has been named vice president of communications and public affairs for FMC. She succeeds Ken Gedaka, who has been in the postion since 2011 and announced his retirement in July.

Sarah Fox has joined JBS as U.S. director of sustainability. She previously worked for Vestaron Corp. as vice president of sustainability and held roles with Nutrien Ag Solutions.

Jackson Takach has added vice president of strategy, research and analytics to his title at Farmer Mac. He is also chief economist, a position he has had since 2019.

Tracy Snider has started a new position of director of animal nutrition market and business development at Benson Hill. She previously was the farmer marketing director.

The Ranchers-Cattlemen Action Legal Fund (R-CALF USA) has elected three new board members. Stacey Weldon White of Cypress, Texas, represents the region comprising Texas; the region including Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri is represented by Freddie Keaton of Licking, Missouri; Mario Tarango of Fort Meade, Florida, was elected for the region covering Georgia, Florida and Alabama. R-CALF USA directors also re-elected President Brett Kenzy of Gregory, South Dakota, and Vice President Eric Nelson of Moville, Iowa.

Two scientists with USDA's Agricultural Research Service have been named 2023 Fellows by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Martin Williams, an ARS research ecologist, and Jay D. Evans, an ARS research entomologist, were selected in recognition of their scientific contributions and leadership in the organization’s Agriculture, Food and Renewable Resources section.
