China imposes 55% 'safeguard' tariffs on US beef

China has imposed new 55% “safeguard” tariffs on beef imported over specific quotas from countries including the United States, Brazil and Australia, China's Ministry of Commerce announced Wednesday.

Demand for electricity is growing across the nation because of data centers and other demands at the same time that coal fired power plants are being taken off-line.
