Calif. nursery owner settles wetlands case for $1.1 million

WASHINGTON, Aug. 15, 2017 - John Duarte, the California nursery owner who faced more than $30 million in fines and mitigation for plowing his land, has agreed to pay the government $1.1 million to settle the case against him.
