A federal grand jury has indicted several Chinese nationals on charges related to stealing and re-selling used cooking oil across several U.S. states. The alleged theft underscores the need for stronger measures to protect waste feedstocks that have become increasingly valuable in the making of biodiesel and other lower-emitting fuels, the North American Renderers Association said. 

Triple-digit tariff hikes on each other’s imports, if sustained, are set to reshape U.S.-China trade – particularly for agricultural products, where price competition is fierce.
