In a celebration of inclusion, Land O’Lakes pooled the talents of Grammy-winning songwriter Liz Rose and singer Maggie Rose to update a classic nursery rhyme tune. “She-I-O” reworks “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” into an upbeat country-rock mix in an homage to farming and ranching women who make up roughly a third of Land O’Lakes’ farmer-owners. The “She-I-O” video features a few real-life female farmers in their element – the dairy farm. The song was released on iTunes to coincide with Women’s Equality Day, Aug. 26, as part of Land O’Lakes’ #AllTogetherBetter initiative. Anna Squibb, the co-op's senior manager for integrated marketing, dairy foods, said the company hopes to be a “unifying force” through the campaign in which they envision consumers connecting their own stories to the Land O’Lakes story. The “She-I-O” single will be part of Maggie Rose’s album, Change the Whole Thing, to be released on Sept. 21.
