Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins unveiled a week-long schedule for the Great American Farmers Market on the National Mall Aug. 3-8, including daily themes on Make America Healthy Again, preventing wildfires and spotlighting the American farmer.
During National Farmers Market week and in celebration with America 250, over 50 vendors representing 28 states will participate. Guests can enjoy farm-fresh dairy, premium meats, seasonal produce, baked goods and hot meals, among other foods, each evening from 4-8 p.m ET.
“America’s farmers, ranchers, and producers dedicate their lives to feeding their fellow citizens, and the Great American Farmers Market gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase the rich bounty of our agriculture on the National Mall,” Rollins said.
The Great American Farmers Market will kick off with a ribbon-cutting, live music, and opening ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 3, at 4 p.m. ET on the National Mall.

Sunday, Aug. 3 – America Grows: 250 Years of Liberty and Agriculture. Begin with a celebration of America’s 250th birthday including a tractor and kid-focused programming for families.
Monday, Aug. 4 – Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Monday. Try out sunset goat yoga and other wellness-related activities, then see cooking demonstrations from Rollins and Kennedy. Common Threads will also be running a snack time for kids.
Tuesday, Aug. 5 – Faith and Fellowship Tuesday. All faiths are welcome to experience live worship bands and reflect on spiritual experiences that honor the role of faith in agricultural life and community well-being. Alveda King, USDA’s senior adviser on faith and community outreach. will be present.
Wednesday, Aug. 6 – Forests and Firefighters: Protecting America's Legacy. Meet Smokey Bear and discuss how Americans can prevent wildfires, as well as salute the Forest Service team that safeguards America’s landscapes.
Thursday, Aug. 7 – America the Beautiful Day. Seed planting, garden tours, and a visit from George Washington to learn the story behind his legendary 250-year-old cherries.
Friday, August 8 – Farmer First Friday. End the week with a celebration honoring American agriculture including tributes, face painting, and family movie night playing "Charlotte’s Web."
All events will take place on the National Mall across the street from USDA's Whitten Building (1400 Jefferson Dr. SW, Washington, D.C. 20250). Admission is free and open to the public.
