Representatives from Tractor Supply Company and 30 young 4-Hers rang the Nasdaq opening bell Monday to celebrate $25 million raised through the Paper Clover campaign.
A fundraiser at Tractor Supply stores across the U.S. and online since 2010, the Paper Clover campaign allows the public to donate funds to the 4-H program when purchasing a paper clover. All donations collected directly benefit 4-H members, including 90% of the money going to support youth in the state where the donation is made.
“With Tractor Supply we’ve strengthened the rural economies that power this country,” said Jill Bramble, president and CEO of the National 4-H Council, in a news release. “Together we’re investing in programs to equip our youth with the life and work skills they need to be Beyond Ready for their future,” she added, capitalizing the group's slogan.

The Paper Clover campaign has raised more than $25 million to support 6 million 4-H youth in the U.S. during the 15-year history of the program. It has supported more than 100,000 youth with scholarships to attend programs in their local communities.
“When we invest in young people, we invest in the future of every community we serve,” said John Ordus, chief stores officer at Tractor Supply Company
The Winter Paper Clover campaign has concluded, but 4-H holiday ornaments shaped as a horse, bunny, and baby chicks are available for purchase. Another Paper Clover campaign will begin in the spring.
