Homegrown fertilizer farm bill amendment looks to boost domestic production, support smaller producers

Illinois Rep. Eric Sorensen introduced a bipartisan bill to provide USDA grants and low-interest loans to expand U.S. fertilizer production and improve storage capacity for companies that hold less than the fourth-largest share of the fertilizer market.
