Ducks Unlimited is partnering with Regenified to verify regenerative agriculture practices on farms and ranches across North America.

The Regenified Accredited Verifier Network “is designed to extend Regenified’s verification capacity through certified partner organizations with relevant technical expertise, local knowledge, and a shared commitment to credible, outcomes-based regenerative agriculture,” according to a news release from the two organizations.

“This partnership is about scaling regenerative agriculture verification in a way that is credible, practical, and rooted in real land stewardship,” Regenified CEO Salar Shemirani says in the release. “Ducks Unlimited is internationally respected for its conservation leadership and brings decades of experience working with landowners, producers, and partners across North America. Their deep understanding of working landscapes, water, habitat, biodiversity, and producer relationships makes them an outstanding partner as we expand access to Regenified verification.”

The partnership will focus initially on North America-based producers when it goes live this summer.

“Through the partnership, trained DU professionals will conduct on-site and virtual verification work in accordance with Regenified’s standards, protocols, tools, and reporting systems. Regenified will continue to manage the overall verification process, including quality assurance, scoring, reporting, and certification decisions,” the release says.

“This partnership gives us a practical way to apply our technical expertise in support of regenerative agriculture and new income opportunities for farmers and ranchers, while continuing to advance our habitat and conservation mission,” says Billy Gascoigne, DU’s senior director of agriculture and strategic partnerships. “By working alongside producers in the communities we serve, we can help connect regenerative outcomes with measurable conservation impact.”

USDA approved Regenified last year as the first regenerative certifier under the Agricultural Marketing Service’s Process Verified Program. “The AMS PVP is designed to provide suppliers of agricultural services independent third-party verification of defined processes and process points,” the company said in February 2025.

"Regenerative agriculture prioritizes soil health, employing techniques such as cover cropping and crop rotation to enrich the soil by increasing organic matter," Regenified's media kit says. "These practices nurture beneficial soil microorganisms, enhancing soil structure and nutrient cycling. Furthermore, they minimize disturbances like tillage and synthetic inputs that damage soil and cause erosion."
