FAS to publish all export data from missing weeks

USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service is still planning to resume publishing its weekly export sales report on Sept. 15, but that report will be much larger than normal because it will contain four weeks of data that haven’t been published because of problems installing a new reporting system, according to USDA officials.

Freezing the wage rate paid to farmworkers in the U.S. under the H-2A program “could encourage a faster expansion” of the program and may reduce the wages of the U.S. domestic workers who account for 90% of average employment on U.S. crop farms, the Economic Research Service said in a report released Tuesday.
