Farm Hands on the Potomac: Elanco hires Bowen, Parum joins AFBF economics team

Faith Parum joined the American Farm Bureau Federation as an economist. Wayne Stoskopf was promoted to senior director of public policy for risk management and legislative strategy at the National Corn Growers Association. CropLife America hired Tonya Parish as senior manager of government relations communications. 

The National Corn Growers Association Corn Board elected Michigan farmer Matt Frostic as the organization's first vice president. Robin Bowen joined Elanco as director of U.S. government affairs. Sarah Dean joined PepsiCo as director of global public policy, sustainability reporting and human rights.

Senate GOP tax package extends business income deduction, expands expensing allowance

Clean fuels credit also extended, eligibility eased

The Senate Finance Committee on Monday released its tax and Medicaid provisions for the budget reconciliation bill that Republicans are trying to reach agreement on, and they extend expiring 2017 tax cuts and expand some other provisions of the law. The provisions also extend the 45Z tax credit for clean fuels.
