WASHINGTON, Feb. 2- Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) wrote a letter to Reps. Scott Tipton (R-Colo.) and Mark Critz (D-Penn.) of the House Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Agriculture, Energy and Trade regarding the Department of Labor’s proposed revisions to rules for children employed in agriculture.

“The Department of Labor’s proposed revisions to the regulations governing the employment of youth on farms and ranches have created confusion, controversy and concern these last few months,” begins the letter.

Cleaver requested that his statement be included in the record for this morning’s hearing, “The Future of the Family Farm: The Effect of Proposed DOL Regulations on Small Business Producers.”
