Daybreak March 11: More farm aid is on the way, Boozman says

Senate Ag Committee Chairman John Boozman is vowing to keep working with fellow panel members to get more financial aid to struggling farmers. Boozman acknowledged at a hearing Tuesday on finding new ag markets, “If you're putting something in the ground, you're probably losing money,” Boozman said in opening remarks at a hearing Tuesday on domestic ag markets.

Farmer sentiment mixed: OK now, but future's cloudy

Farmers aren’t feeling particularly rosy about the future, according to the latest Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer. The percentage who think the U.S. is on the "wrong track" has risen from 25% in December to 41% last month, according to the survey.
