Leaders of the House Agriculture Committee have announced the rosters of its six, newly reorganized subcommittees for the new Congress

The subcommittees that will be responsible for conservation programs and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program respectively will have an equal number of Republican and Democratic members. 

Republicans will have a majority on the other four committees and a 28-24 majority on the full committee. 

Republicans have a 14-9 majority on the Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities, Risk Management, and Credit, which will oversee commodity programs and crop insurance as lawmakers develop a new farm bill in 2023. 

The full committee is chaired by Rep. Glenn Thompson, R-Pa. Rep. David Scott of Georgia is the ranking Democrat.

Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities, Risk Management, and Credit
